Board of Directors - Regular Meeting

Held at the Stinson Beach County Water District Office at 3785 Shoreline Highway Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. Please note that this agenda is subject to change.

A. CALL TO ORDER

The Presiding officer will call the meeting to order and call the roll of members to determine the presence of a quorum.

B. PUBLIC EXPRESSION

Audience members will be invited to speak regarding matters not on the agenda; the Board can not act on items brought up at this time. Audience members may also speak regarding matters on the agenda. Speakers may be limited to two minutes each.

C. SETTING OF AGENDA

The Board may adopt or revise the agenda as presented.

D. PUBLIC HEARING

1. Discussion and possible direction to staff re: a Variance Application for a new alternative wastewater system at 73 Dipsea Road, Sheila and Angus McCarthy, Owners, APN 195-080-15.

E. GENERAL BUSINESS

1. Discussion and possible direction to staff to grant a Water Use Charge Reduction Request for Carey Crosby, 41 Lincoln Avenue, Stinson Beach, Account #481001.
2. Review of the District's Draft Basic Financial Statements as at June 30, 2017.
3. Discussion and possible direction to staff re: removal of nine large pine trees and two very small pine trees located inside the fenced area of the Highlands Water Tanks.
4. Discussion and possible direction to staff re: Standby Emergency Water Purchase Agreement.

F. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The Board will consider approval of draft minutes of the December 16, 2017 meeting.

G. APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS

The Board will consider approval of disbursements for December 5, December 7, December 12, December 13 and December 20, 2017.

H. MANAGER'S REPORT

The General Manager may update the Board on current District projects, concerns and accomplishments.

I. COMMITTEE REPORTS/INFORMATION REVIEW

Members of the Board may report on their respective committees.

J. CORRESPONDENCE

The Board will review recent District correspondence.

K. CLOSED DOOR SESSION

Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation or Significant Exposure to Litigation Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2), One Potential Case.

L. ADJOURNMENT

The Board will consider a motion to adjourn the meeting.

Notice regarding Rights of Appeal: Persons who are dissatisfied with the decisions of the SBCWD Board of Directors have the right to have the decision reviewed by a State Court. The District has adopted Section 1094.6 of the Code of Civil Procedure which generally limits the time within which the decision may be judicially challenged to 90 days.
